Re-linking to HIV treatment after 6 years

A young woman of 18 years, living with HIV through vertical transmission, initiated antiretroviral therapy in 2018. She discontinued her treatment just after one month. Over the past six years, she consistently resisted resuming the therapy.

Action taken: Multiple counselling sessions by the staff of CoNE, she finally agreed to re-start HIV treatment. On November 6, 2024, she was successfully re-linked for treatment again at the ART centre of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences.
