Peer-support- people who use drugs and completing HCV cascade of care.

During January data collection process, two respondents who had completed their HCV treatment two years ago shared they have not undergone the HCV SVR 12 test to confirm their current HCV status due to frequent relapses to drug use. Upon counselling on the importance of the SVR test, both individuals voluntarily agreed to undergo testing.

One preferred not to wait for a longer turnaround time for test results associated with the national program. At his request, his SVR test was conducted at a local diagnostic centre on April 11, 2025, and he received the result on the same-day, which indicated that he has achieved a cure. The sample for the second respondent was sent to the Model Treatment Centre at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) on 15 th April 2025 and subsequently received results on the May 8 with a cure.
