After a protest rally on 29 May 2023 on the need to create access to hepatitis C treatment, the government procured daclatasvir through an emergency purchase mechanism the next day on 30 May 2023.
Action taken: On 31 May 2023 the Hepatitis Working Team, Peduli Hati and the Provincial Health Office conducted a coordination meeting to discuss daclatasvir distribution plans, which were guided by data and information available with the community, Peduli Hati and provincial health department.
June 1, 2023: Daclatasvir for 19 provinces handed over to courier service to be distributed by air freight (except Jakarta and West Java).
